We feel passionate about getting the best out of acupuncture, and making it available to as many people as possible. We have been greatly inspired by the example of Working Class Acupuncture, a clinic in Portland, Oregon that has pioneered the community acupuncture model in North America. The RCAC is a member of the Community Acupuncture Network, an organization whose goal is to make acupuncture more accessible and affordable.
Naomi Frank
Naomi first encountered Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) while living and working in Hong Kong (1994-97.) As a patient and then as a student, she developed a deep respect for this ancient art of healing. In 2000, Naomi graduated from International College of TCM in Vancouver. Since then, she has undertaken specialized training in fertility issues, pregnancy and postpartum care and digestive health. She has also worked extensively with patients experiencing pain, stress and anxiety. Naomi is committed to encouraging patients to take an active role in their health and life-long wellness. The rapid healing that acupuncture can initiate continues to inspire her each day.
Chris Pickrell
As part of his training in naturopathic medicine, Chris spent four years studying and applying the art and practice of Chinese medicine. During an internship at the Hospital of Traditional Medicine in Hanoi, Vietnam–a large community hospital where they blend the practices of Eastern and Western medicine–he experienced how acupuncture and Chinese medicine help balance a personʼs body and return them to a greater place of health and well-being. Chris holds one of three national residency positions at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. Chris welcomes people of all ages and levels of health to his practice.
