About Community Acupuncture

We would like everyone to be able to afford acupuncture often enough to get the best results.

Our clinic provides acupuncture on a sliding scale of $20-$40 (with a $10 new patient paperwork fee on the first visit), with no proof of income required.

Acupuncture is a gentle yet powerful therapy that requires repeated treatments to be effective. Positive effects, such as pain relief and improved sleep, are often felt immediately, but to get better and to stay well, a cycle of 5-15 treatments are required. If you have major health issues or very chronic conditions, it may take more.

Most people canʼt afford to get that amount of acupuncture at the typical price of $60-$125 per treatment. We offer the solution of community acupuncture, where the cost of a treatment is less, because the acupuncturistʼs time and space is shared. Patients receive acupuncture in groups, resting in the quiet clinic while their needles are in place.

Many patients enjoy the community setting, which enables them to come in with a friend or family member if they like. The dynamic effect of treatments in a group setting has been noticed by many patients as well as practitioners.

We do not receive any subsidies or grants. What keeps our clinic open is that patients pay what they can afford for their treatments, and in many cases they share their experience with others. So if you know someone who could benefit from acupuncture, please spread the word!
